Cost of medicines

148. (i) The cost of medicines supplied in any year by the Government Medical Store-keeper is intimated to the divisional officer by the Principal Auditor (vide note to paragraph 144). It is charged to the head C. 5(e).

(ii) When medicines which have been found to be useful in the treatment of malarious disorders are not supplied by the Medical Store-keeper, they may be purchased by divisional officers under the powers delegated to them, vide appendix IV and Volume I of the Handbook.
